Relea - a material and its potential:

Relea is recycled leather. The aim of the project
was to experiment with this material to create
furniture. Relea is made out of shredded leather
and rubber. It is homogenous and can be com-
posted. It cannot be tooled in the same way as
leather. For example, water is not an effective
treatment, as the fibres are coated in rubber.
One particular quality is that it can be shape
using the glu-lam process.
